Product Overview
Our Galvanised Wire Rope Thimbles are manufactured to the BS 464-1 specification, providing a strong and durable component for creating reinforced eyes in wire rope loops. A thimble is an essential part of a wire rope assembly, as it supports the loop (eye) and protects the individual wire strands from being crushed or abraded when connected to a shackle or other fitting. The Hot Dip Galvanised finish provides excellent corrosion resistance, making these thimbles ideal for general-purpose outdoor, marine, and industrial applications.
Important Safety Notice: Thimbles are components and are not individually load-rated. The final strength of the wire rope assembly depends on the quality of the splice or swage. Work must be carried out by a competent person. Do not use for overhead lifting unless the final assembly has been properly certified.
