Wires are generally are made from 6mm Galvanised 6×19 Fibre Core or 6mm (7×19) Wire Steel Core Galvanised wire rope are approximately 10.4m long and have an eye at one end with the other end fused and tapered to allow easy attachment to the winch. Wires can be upgraded to 8mm as long as you are using the K1550 or K2550 winch as some winches have drums that have diameters too small to accommodate an 8mm wire rope and will damage the rope. An 8mm wire helps to safely tilt over a tower with a heavy antenna and rotator on top.
This product can also be made from 6mm or 8mm (7×19) Stainless steel marine grade AISI 316 wire rope for optimum weather resistance particularly by costal areas.
Made within a few days, to your preference, these luffing wires for 40, 60 or 80 foot Strumech Versatower are a must for your replacement if your wires are showing any signs of rust, have any broken strands or weakened thimble eyes.
We recommend replacing your wires every three years to give them optimal performance on your tower
