Product Overview
Maintaining your Strumech or Versatower just got easier with our high-quality winch ropes, designed specifically for raising and lowering these popular telescopic masts. Engineered for durability and reliability, these ropes ensure smooth and safe operation, allowing you to effortlessly adjust your antenna for optimal performance.
Wires can be made from 5mm Galvanised 6×19 Fibre Core or 5mm (7×19) wire steel core galvanised wire rope, but we recommend upgrading to the 6mm galvanised wire rope which is stronger as the 5mm is only marginally strong enough. Check for snagging on horizontal cross beams before ordering 6mm though. This product can also be manufactured out of 6mm Stainless steel in a marine grade AISI316 for optimum weather resistance, particularly in coastal areas.
Made within a few days, to your preference, these luffing wires are a must for your replacement if your wires are showing any signs of rust, have any broken strands or weakened thimble eyes. We recommend replacing your wires every three years to give them optimal performance on your tower.
Wire Lengths and Eyes
- Raising Lowering Winch Rope: 18.9m Long with an eyelet at one end.
- Raising Lowering Upper Telescopic for 60ft Tower: 13.1m Long with an Eyelet at each end.
- Raising Lowering Middle Telescopic for 80ft Tower BP80: 13.1m Long with an Eyelet at each end.
- Raising Lowering Upper Telescopic for 80ft Tower BP80: 12.3m Long with an Eyelet at each end.
