Product Overview
Our Galvanised Commercial Pattern Thimbles are an economical component for creating reinforced eyes in wire rope loops. A thimble is an essential part of a wire rope assembly, as it supports the loop (eye) and protects the individual wire strands from being crushed or abraded when connected to a shackle or other fitting. The Hot Dip Galvanised finish provides good corrosion resistance, making these thimbles ideal for general-purpose outdoor applications.
Important Safety Notice: Thimbles are components and are not individually load-rated. The final strength of the wire rope assembly depends on the quality of the splice or swage. Work must be carried out by a competent person. Do not use for overhead lifting.
